This policy covers the Chrome extension "Wholesale2B - Competitor Spy & Dropship Research" (the extension), published by Onlinestorebiz.com LLC, which operates Wholesale2B (wholesale2b.com).
The extension doesn't collect, store or send your personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. Everything it does happens inside your browser.
When you click the extension icon on a store, it reads that store's public pages from your browser. That includes the page you have open, plus public pages and feeds on the same store, such as its product list, sitemap and shipping policy. These are the same pages any visitor can open. The extension fetches them without your cookies or sign-in details.
The extension skips pages that look like account, sign-in, cart, checkout or admin areas, and it doesn't read form fields on any page.
It uses what it reads to show you product counts, prices, best sellers, new arrivals, the apps a store runs and signs of dropshipping.
The extension saves each scan result in your browser's session storage for up to 30 minutes (a handful of recent scans at most, and never for addresses that contain tokens or keys), so reopening the popup doesn't trigger a new scan. This data stays on your device and is cleared when you close your browser or when the 30 minutes pass. It is never sent to Wholesale2B or to anyone else.
Nothing is sent to Wholesale2B, Onlinestorebiz.com LLC, or any third party. The extension has no server and no analytics or advertising code.
The extension does make requests to the store you are scanning, in order to read its public pages. The store can see these requests the way it sees any visitor's. Product thumbnails in the popup are loaded from the store's own servers or from well-known store image hosts such as Shopify's, and from nowhere else.
The popup includes a "Search Wholesale2B" link on each product and a "Sign up for free" button in the footer. These links open wholesale2b.com in a new tab only when you click them. The search link carries the first four words of the product title. The footer link carries the tag source=extension, which tells Wholesale2B the visit came from the extension. Once you are on wholesale2b.com, our website privacy policy applies.
If you click Export CSV, the extension creates a file of the scanned products and saves it to your computer. The file is never uploaded.
The extension doesn't request access to your browsing history, bookmarks, cookies, or any site you haven't clicked the icon on.
The extension is built for ecommerce sellers and isn't directed at children under 13.
If the extension's behavior changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
